The opening 4 months of this 2016-17 season have seen the rebirth of our Mini Section thanks to the drive and determination initially of Leanne and Richard Roberts and then as momentum built up the sheer hard work and enthusiasm of Donna James, Gareth Price and all the parents and children.

First we were under 9 then under 8 and now we have firmed up with 3 sides Under 7, Under 8 and Under 10 playing regularly nearly every Sunday and training twice a week on the field and in the sports hall. At every training session and game there are lots of parents supporting and of course children training and playing.

It is massive for the club and for the village to see all the facilities so busy on Sundays and to see all the children so well turned out in fabulous new kit on the field and hoodies and tees off the field. A big thank you from the club to all the Minis sponsors who have helped make this possible. A big thank you also to all the parents working hard behind the scenes to organise Christmas and Halloween parties, raffles and fund raising with a end of season tour organised for May.

The Minis are quite simply the best thing to happen to the club for several years now and their desire to involve as many children as possible in the games is a brilliant concept. I hope the Christmas show will be a huge success and from all Club Members and The Club Senior team have a Happy and successful 2017 you give the club a real buzz.
